Update "Please Create a New Password" Text

Starting with the current version of iMIS, older less-secure passwords must be updated the first time you login. If someone has a valid active password that hasn't been changed in a while and doesn't meet the security requirements (at least 7 alphanumeric characters), they will be met with this text following authentication.

Simple REST Personalization

This is neither the time nor the place to get into the functionality of the new (ish) REST API. That will follow. For now, this is just some simple JavaScript that accesses the API, returns the full name for the selected user, and outputs a pretty "Hi Bob" to the page.

Expand All Days (Events)

Complex events often have multiple days, tracks or categories with multiple functions/options; by default the first day is expanded, the rest are contracted and you have to click on the little arrow to expand the day (it's an accordion effect).

While you can choose to display the information by day, track or category, it displays in the accordion format. And if you choose "View All" you lose the headers.

Hide Content Based on an IQA

Using RiSE you can lock down websites, navigation and content but it's harder to lock down individual iParts. There's a workaround but it's important to acknowledge right now that it's not "real security". You can use the concept to redirect away to another page, or simply hide content on the page, but it's not "really secure" and shouldn't be used for anything that shouldn't be made visible online. Set the State Field / Online Join iPart

The previous blog entry touched on setting the country code via the online join to a fixed value (examples provided for Canada and US).

Twitter user @thejamesjones responded to suggest doing the same thing to the state field for state-based organizations.

This assumes that your default country code (via the appropriate RiSE setup page) is US, if it's another country use the earlier script to set the country code first.
